Rhodesian Ridgeback

A native of South Africa, the Rhodesian Ridgeback kept lions away from attacking people in the villages. An animal that can successfully keep a lion at bay is a great hunter, but the downside is that it's impossible to domesticate them fully. This is one dog that needs a lot of care during handling as it tends to overreact under certain circumstances. If you happen to own one of these dogs, beware that they are very aggressive, hence hard to control.
